Schurter FMAC-Out Output Filter Overview
The Schurter FMAC-Out is a three-phase output filter designed for installation between a frequency inverter and the motor, rated 8–32 A at 550 VAC from -25°C to 100°C. Unlike the rest of the Schurter EMC filter range — which attenuates conducted emissions on the input side — the FMAC-Out addresses the fast-switching voltage edges (dU/dt) generated by the inverter output, limiting dU/dt to below 500 V/µs to protect motor winding insulation and reduce bearing current. Insulated safety screw terminals are fitted. CSA C22.2 No. 8 approval is also held alongside VDE and UL.
