Schurter 5500 PCB Mount EMC Filter Overview
The Schurter 5500 is a compact single-phase line filter designed for direct PCB mounting, rated 1–10 A at 250 VAC across an operating temperature range of -25°C to 85°C. The thermoplastic UL 94V-0 housing integrates directly onto the board, making it well suited to space-constrained equipment where a chassis-mount filter is impractical. A medical M5 configuration is available with the Y-capacitor omitted and a 1 MΩ discharge resistor fitted, achieving leakage current below 0.005 mA to satisfy IEC 60601-1 (1 MOOP / 1 MOPP) requirements.
